Biography

Grant Gillett is a professional bassoonist from Central Illinois performing with countless music ensembles and symphony orchestras. He graduated with a Masters in Music and a Bachelors inMusic Education from Illinois State University. Grant taught music in the Peoria Public Schools for twenty seven years and an additional eight years for the Diocese of Peoria. As a bassoonist and contrabassoonist, he regularly performs with the Peoria Symphony Orchestra, the Illinois Valley Orchestra, and the Knox-Galesburg Symphony. Additionally he is a member of the Prairie Wind Ensemble and the Heart of Illinois Wind Quintet.
